Howdy! I'm Mila
I'm Living with Latent Autoimmune diabetes in adults
(type 1.5 diabetes).
Can we be diabesties?
I’m Mila, a Board Certified Health and Wellness Coach, and Nutritionist living with diabetes.
When I was misdiagnosed with type 2 diabetes, and then re-diagnosed with LADA (Latent Autoimmune Diabetes in Adults) – A slow-progressing form of autoimmune Type 1 diabetes, I felt like I had failed myself.
I was frustrated, angry, misunderstood, overwhelmed, and over the whole thing. My life changed overnight without warning (twice). I didn’t want to feel that way anymore. And I don’t want you to, either.
Who wants to feel like they can’t eat the foods they enjoy? Or that they aren’t working hard enough for in-range blood sugar numbers? In the beginning, I struggled to find approachable resources to help me manage diabetes on a day-to-day basis.
So, I created this diabetes blog, and my community, Glucose Guide as FREE diabetes resource to help you get unstuck, reduce the stigma and misinformation about diabetes, and most of all, put your mind at ease about your new health journey.
So let’s talk about food, self-care, and diabetes topics that sometimes feel like they’re off-limits. This is an open and safe space for you.
