This Week’s Galentine’s Day post is a style post from Samantha David of Styled By Samantha! I hope you guys enjoy! Her Style is effortless.
One of my favorite things to do is get dressed up and go out for a nice dinner. Who doesn’t love wearing a new dress that makes you look amazing, spending a little more time on hair and make-up and feeling fancy AF for a night out on the town. The perfect excuse to do something like this is Galentine’s Day. For anyone wondering what a Galentine’s Day is, it’s when you get together with your closest girlfriends to celebrate each other, single or not. No one said you had to spend your Valentine’s Day with a S/O. Just spend it with people you love! Make a reservation for your gal’s at that new restaurant everyone is raving about, order the extra cocktail/dessert/appetizer and enjoy the excuse to get dressed up.
If you’re wanting to make your Galentine’s Day evening a little more special, plan a “Gushing Gal Gift Exchange”. A GGGE is simple and similar to Secret Santa for the holidays. Pick names and buy your secret gal a special gift so they will always remember the night. Some good gift ideas for the holiday is to buy them a gift card to contribute to a massage, a few new face masks to try, a cute journal, or maybe even the stereotypical bouquet and chocolates. I mean, who doesn’t love a little chocolate??
If you’re planning a fun Galentine’s Day evening, treat yourself to a new dress to make you feel like a million bucks. Chances are you’ll need a red dress for something else during the year so it’s like an investment…right?! At least that’s what I tell myself whenever I buy something new.
The dress I’m wearing here is the Love…Ady Dress from Nordstrom Rack and is less than $50. It’s the affordable duplicate off of the Self-Portrait Azaela Dress that will cost you almost $500. I’ve put together a list of my favorite Galentine’s Date dresses, all under $100. Check them out below!
