May 9th is my diaversary – or my diabetes anniversary.

Some people might think I’m crazy for celebrating it, but four years ago, I never imagined the life I have now.

I never imagined I’d get to write a book to help people with diabetes.

I never imagined I would find a community that understood what I was going through.

I never imagined that I would find self confidence, or feel better about myself, or understand what felt wrong.

I definitely never imagined that I would come to love cooking and creating recipes, and diabetes content as much as I have.

While it’s crazy to have been living with this for four years. I still don’t know everything, and I still haven’t figured it all out. But, I’m glad I met people who can teach me every single day.

I made this video to share what I’ve learned in these past few years.
