The restaurant opens it’s fourth location in Houston!
Shake Shack® opens the doors to its newest Houston location in Montrose on Thursday, December 20th at 11 a.m. The Montrose Shack will be located at 1002 Westheimer Road on the corner of Lincoln Street and Westheimer. This marks the brand’s fourth Houston Shake Shack, joining existing locations in Galleria, Rice Village and Minute Maid Park.
Shake Shack is a critically acclaimed, modern day “roadside” burger stand known for its 100% all-natural Angus beef burgers, chicken sandwiches and griddled flat-top dogs (no hormones or antibiotics – ever), fresh-made frozen custard (using real sugar, no corn syrup), crispy crinkle cut fries and more. A fun and lively community gathering place with widespread appeal, Shake Shack has earned a cult-like following around the world.
In addition to the classics, The Montrose Shack will be spinning up a unique selection of frozen custard concretes in collaboration with local purveyors Fluff Bake Bar and UB Preserv.
● Pie Oh My: Vanilla custard with slice of Fluff Bake Bar seasonal pie
● Caramel Aficiona-dough: Vanilla custard with Fluff Bake Bar ‘Couch Potato’ cookie dough and salted caramel sauce
● 24 Carrot Magic: Vanilla custard with UB Preserv carrot cake, sweetened condensed milk and Blacksmith coffee grounds
The menu will also feature the Texas-exclusive Lockhart Link, a cheeseburger topped with griddled Kreuz Market jalapeno cheese sausage link, pickles and ShackSauce®.
Guests can wash their burgers down with local brews from Karbach Brewing Company, Saint Arnold Brewing Company, Back Pew Brewing and Spoetzl Brewery plus Shake Shack’s exclusive Brooklyn Brewery ShackMeister® Ale. Wine lovers can enjoy a glass of Shack RedTM and ShackWhiteTM wine from the Gotham Project.
As part of Shake Shack’s mission to Stand For Something Good®, the Montrose Shack will donate 25% of proceeds from opening day, as well 5% of sales from the Pie Oh My concrete to Houston Humane Society, an organization serving people & pets in the Greater Houston Area.
The 3,638 square-foot Shack will feature an outdoor patio, ample seating for guests and a mural by local artist Michael Rodriguez. In keeping with Shake Shack’s commitment to green architecture and eco-friendly construction, the Montrose Shack’s tabletops will be made by CounterEvolution using reclaimed bowling alley lanes; chairs will be designed by Uhuru using sustainable materials; and booths will be crafted by Staach using lumber certified by the Forest Stewardship Council.

We just got Shake Shack in LA County about a year ago and I love them. They’re a bit pricey but when I dive into them, I GET IT! Love their burgers and their shakes are just too good!! So glad they made home in Montrose =]
